Snakebite

I was in Dublin for three days and Snakebite was one of the things I had planned way in advance. I did research on Unilocal and facebook. All the reviews were great and they weren’t lying. Snakebite was awesome I worked with Denise. She did a sketch for me before hand and worked with my idea.
Her sketch was incredible, and the Tattoo turned out even better.
She was kind and is very talented. The shading and coloring on my Teacup is Incredible. The details and it looks so realistic. I am so happy that I went with Snakebite. I highly recommend them!

I’m sure this place is fine if you’re looking for a piercing spot. People were nice, professional, and helpful.
Went with a friend who was getting a piercing, and right after, the guy decided to change the jewelry without asking, and the pain was so much that she left with nothing. She was really sad!

Have gone here a few times. Once when I was 18 to get my lip done and they very kindly talked me out of it. Which I really appreciated. Then back two years ago to get my nose pierced. I think they’re brilliant. Any time I need jewellery changed or want to try something new they’re so helpful. They answer all my questions. When I get anything else pierced, I’ll go back here.

I have been in both branches of snakebite, and i must say they are great tattooists but they have a very dull attitude. ITs the public who is keeping them in business so i think they shoud serve their customers with a smile and be a bit more friendly, After all it doesnt cost anything to be nice.

Still super nice! I’ve tried to go into other similar places before right when they open and am told to wait a few minutes, but I rang the buzzer here 3 min before noon and they let us up!
If you’re not sure what size of gauge you have, they can measure it and then help you find one that they have that is the correct size (or next size up if you want) and try to match it with one you already have – if you’re like me and lose them all the time!

so i’ve been back twice now. once to get my smiley redone (previous was screwed-​up elsewhere), and again today to get a smaller diameter ring put in.
i was expecting a 30 second procedure like what i experienced before at the other place. nope. i was there a full half hour or more for the most thorough and well-​explained piercing experience of my life.
first he patiently had me pull my lip out and slowly back in and out again about a dozen times (him: this is so i can figure out how your particular lip anatomy behaves) after which he sat back and explained dejectedly that there was about a 20% chance that it could be pierced straight. he said he could try his best but there was no guarantee. i said what the hell, go for it.
so we did the lip in out thing again (get yer minds out of the gutter!) and he marked it with a toothpick dipped in purple ink (him: this ink is a special kind of ink which is dermaphobic? which means it won’t stain your skin). then he showed and explained the pinchy device thingy with the holes in it for the needle to go thru, but then was unable to get that crammed into my tiny little mouth to grasp the tiny tiny bit of flesh in question.
so i held my lip out real tight, winced and he freehanded the needle thru. then the ring. then handed me a mirror. ring too big. ball too big.
we switched out rings about 3 times (him: we use a canula so we can do this sort of thing without traumatizing the piercing) to get the right size (him: unlike other shops, we stock jewelry in every size instead of every other size so we have a better chance of getting the right fit). finally we were both happy, i paid my € 45 and bounced out.
fast forward to today, the piercing is healed perfectly, is nicely centered but hanging just a bit low for my liking. went in, saw the same guy who remembered me. told him what a great job he’d done. he told me how nicely i’d healed. we switched out the ring for a smaller size while i got a lesson about the law in europe that doesn’t allow fresh piercings to be done with any metal containing nickel and the way the chromium in stainless steel flows in to seal up any nicks or scratches in the metal surface.
sorry if you didn’t care for all that extraneous info, but i thought it was too fascinating to keep to myself. also, i’ve had too much coffee.
anyway, go there. you’ll be happy :)

I really can’t say enough about how great the staff are in Snakebite! having had most of the piercings in my body done by them, I’ve never had a bad experience.
I always bring any friends who had awful experiences in other places down to Snakebite to sort out their problem and they always come out smiling!
No question is ever too small or too stupid for these guys! they’re willing to offer their advice and experience anytime!

This is where I got my tattoo done. And I have to say, the staff were great from the start. Rob, the tattoo artist listened to what I wanted and drew up a few sketches and told me what was possible and what wasn’t. Even when it turned out that I couldn’t take pain as well as we’d planned for-​turns out I’m a complete wuss-​, he did a serious amount of Overtime to get the tattoo done. They told me how to take care of the tattoo afterwards and what ointment to get to help it heal. And talking to some other tattoo-​fans after I found out that for the time spent on my tattoo and the amount of detail it was quite possibly the cheapest place. If you’re a tattoo novice, this is a great place to go for an initial consultation, these guys are great!
