Looove Stradivarius! This is my fave shop, and this location has always served me well. Stradivarius is Zara’s younger, hipper sister. Literally. It’s owned by Zara, and it sits right in the middle in terms of audience and pricing between Bershka and Zara. The clothes have a real continental-European style to them. Lots of neutrals and muted colors. Great skinny jeans and trousers, and a wide variety of tops. I’ve also managed to get some fantastic jackets here at exceptional prices, including a black trench coat for € 20. I’m also in love with their shoes and boots selection. You can get shoes here that are just as trendy as Topshop ones for a quarter of the price. I got the best pair of leather gladiator sandals here, that looked exceptional and unique at a time when everyone was wearing that style, and I also got a pair of pretty ankle boots that have lasted me a long time. They often have nice flats, and this is one of the few shops that actually sells nice heels that are a work-appropriate height. I got a beautiful pair of pointed black matte heels with a two-inch heel that I could wear everywhere from the office to the pub to go shopping. The upstairs area has more casual attire than the bottom floor, and never seems to have anyone up there, but it’s always worth checking out. Last time I checked, they got new shipments on Tuesdays and Fridays, so if you’re looking for a different size in something on the floor, those are the best days to check back. Now that I’m not anywhere near a Stradivarius, I’m definitely suffering… I plan on going on a proper shopping spree the next time I get the chance to visit one!

Stradivarius is based in Jervis St Shopping Centre, first floor. I ab-sol-ute-ly love this place. Everything from the décor, to the separate floor for accessories(genius) to the friendly efficient staff(except during sales, when they can be a bit antsy!). A huge plus that is massively overlooked in the best of stores is their dressing room area. Lots of room, great lighting, and a giant mirror outside of the cubicles, aside from one in the dressing room itself. Their clothing line is to me, like a really affordable version of All Saints — I love All Saints, just can never afford anything in there! The overall look is very European, with lots of black and neutrals along with a huge range of jeans. Sizing is exactly as it states — small is small! lovely shoes and accessories as well, got some gifts here for Christmas — they are a great cheat(look far more expensive than they are!!) Also got fab things there in the sales… 2 dresses for € 20…best bargain outside of Penneys I reckon!

When you find a shop that sells jeans that seem tailor made for your shape, it will always hold a dear place in your heart. And when those jeans are replicated in different colours and given a slight twist as the seasons and trends pass, all the better. And when those jeans cost under € 30, that shop becomes one of your favourite shops in Dublin. Stradivarius is like a cheaper, edgier Miss Selfridge, selling glitzy going-out tops, some nice long cardis, pretty summer dresses and currently a range of wintery coats and jackets, but for me it is all about the jeans.

Stradivarius is a poor man’s All Saints. Pretty much every items is black, grey or some neutral tone and a bit edgy. I did like quite a lot of the items actually, but I thought it was a little bit too expensive. Ok, so it might not be a poor man’s All Saints, but rather a middle class man’s. I really wanted a pretty off the shoulder top with chain detailing, but I couldn’t bring myself to pay 30 euros for a glorified t-shirt. Still, I think Stradivarius has some solid pieces on offer and if you’re in the Jervice Centre it wouldn’t hurt to check this place out.

There are several reasons to shop in Jervis Shopping Centre, one of them being Stradivarius. If you were to judge this book by its cover, you might miss the opportunity to get a good bargain. The outside of the shop doesn’t look like anything special. However, inside you’ll find some decent buys and for a reasonable price too. Stradivarius stocks women’s clothes and accessories. I especially like their hand bags and scarves. I once bought the most beautiful summer dress and tube top here. This shop sells a lot of patterned clothing, stuff that is hippie-chic or beach appropriate. Stradivarius is a nice change from all the other places that are stuck selling monotone colours.
