Great prices & selection. This shop had some unique wool items not found in other stores.

Trinity Sweaters(aka The Sweater Shop online) is a bit of a tourist trap — but it is loaded with quite an assortment of warm sweaters and caps! Friends visiting from out of state love the shop and all the woollen goods. The prices seem somewhat reasonable and there’s something for everyone. It’s packed! I recommend it for –tourists/visitors– looking for that Aran sweater that brings to mind the fisherman wearing that typical bulky well-made Irish ‘jumper’. But, if you live in Dublin, you won’t see many peeps wearing them!(Confession: I own a GREEN one I bought as a tourist sometime ago and, well, let’s just say it doesn’t leave the house and it’s not very useful in California … ;) That being said, the store is packed with all types and colors of knit items and friends who are visiting enjoy browsing here. So, I give it 3.5 stars! Baaaaaa!

Nice folks run the shop. They were fun to talk with, and knew the merchandise and area. They have a range of merchandise that overlaps the few stores that sell Irish made sweaters in the area. Their prices and selection are better. They take credit cards, and I get to take home a sweater made in Ireland. It’s win-win.

People laugh and say that Irish sweaters are«only for tourists,» but I definitely saw a fair share of(young) Irish people wearing them. Chunky sweaters with skinny jeans are in and I just want to look like an old Irish fisherman, so I went to go buy one. The shop itself is super tiny and so packed with sweaters that it is hard to navigate. The staff were all very helpful and I found a sweater that I really love. These sweaters are not cheap, but the Sweater shop had better deals than the other places that I looked. So, if you want to look like an old Irish fisherman, go here!

Cheap and it shows. Bad quality wool, poor construction. But if it’s cheap you’re after, this is the place.

It’s true that you only see tourists walking around with Sweather Shop bags but I had to go in here with my sister who was visiting from Canada and discovered that the sweaters are way cheaper than elsewhere. A man’s Aran jumper costs around 25 Euro while a woman’s fancy wool one will set you back 40 euro. These prices are quite decent compared to those in Galway or other Dublin woollen stores. Other places charge twice as much. No fooling! True, if you wear it in Dublin, it screams out-of-towner but wearing it in Canada will mean«I got an authentic Irish garment».

Totally touristy as nobody from Dublin would be caught dead in an A ran jumper, unless they are from Aran! Nowhere else in Ireland will you find such a vast selection of quality Irish Knitwear at unbeatable prices. The Sweater Shop are also owners of Trinity Sweaters, Dublin, Trinity Crafts, Dublin and Tribes, Galway. Irish Owned and Irish controlled The Sweater Shop is one of the few remaining Irish family owned chain of stores. The following is a list of the stores around the country.
