I love bagels, kinda spoiled from eating them in New York — they are way too good there!!! Bagel bar is ok, it helps when you are starving from all the Christmas shopping. however the bagels are not amazing, they are good but with way too much filling… maybe it’s actually the bagels which are too small for the filling as planned. Anyways, be careful eating it, especially if taking it away… the pigeons love them

Wonderful little spot to have a good cup of coffee, and Irish breakfast that’s not completely dripping in grease. Pastries look tasty but haven’t tried them. Came here two of my three days in Dublin. Service absolutely wonderful, wifi fast and free, nice spot to people watch and get some writing done. An easy 5 stars!

They do gluten free bagels and I’m also a veggie, I was too hunger blind to read through the menu so I just asked the guy if there was a gluten free veggie bagel I could have and he said his Mom was a veggie and he’d make me her fave. Nom Nom! It was delicious — 5 Stars for the friendly and swift service

Summary: decent bagels; apathetic staff. Given that this is an international destination, you’d think the staff would be a little more accepting of any menu misunderstandings. Also when we asked for the wifi password, they shrugged and just said, «the wifi is not working today.» I won’t be back to check tomorrow.

A totally average place. Neither good nor bad, just unremarkable. Stopped in on a walking tour. Ordered Goulash and they said they didn’t actually have bread bowls so it was served on 3 slices of white bread. That’s not really my thing. From what I saw, it seems like breakfast would be a smarter choice here.

I came across this place after walking through the city while it was too late for breakfast and too early to have lunch somewhere. A bagel sounded great at that point. Stepping into this place and looking at the numerous sandwiches can be a bit overwhelming to make a choice. Once I saw guacamole on the Manhattan I was sold, because it seems to be rarity in Europe. Turns out the guacamole was more of a mix with cheese, which still puzzles me. The sandwich itself was actually pretty decent. Nothing memorable.

Everyone else’s looks better than mine. Not terribly happy. Not much to say. Bland and tasteless. For the money I paid I could get much better elsewhere. Service is pleasant and quick though.

I was in Dublin, in search of a breakfast before going to rent a car and drive out into the wild toward the Giant’s Causeway. Staying on Lower Liffey, friends and I had noticed that the Bagel Bar looked like a good place for a take away breakfast, and decided to stop in before hitting the road. We arrived just before 10am, which was good, because while they were open before our arrival, the breakfast rush seemed to begin just after we arrived. I enjoyed a hot bagel sandwich and a smoothie, and my friends had different combinations of coffee and bagels too. While our orders took about 10 minutes, it was nothing to the groups waiting behind us, so I can’t really complain. The service was friendly and efficient, and our food was very tasty as take-aways go. It’s not a gourmet option, but it’s a good start for a day of adventures, either in Dublin, or beyond.

Frisch belegte Bagel in allen Variationen.

Cajun chicken and jalapeños on a bagel. Sounds revolting, right? I thought so, too… but the lure of cacophonous flavours and textures ensnared my curiosity, and I was compelled to order it anyhow. Little did I realise that this chain has it figured out. Not only was my bagel sandwich filling and savoury, all of our orders were prepped, packaged, and labelled in handwriting in just a few minutes. What’s even better is that although they didn’t have a BLT on offer via their menu, they were more than willing to make one(even asking if I wanted mayo). Now –that’s– service!

Service is still hit and miss. It was OK yesterday, amazing how the vibe of the employees reflects the ethos of the company. I got a not so great coffee and the Manhattan bagel… Don’t you just love how naming an item of food after anything American in someway is supposed to entice me more? A Manhattan consists of: bacon, gucamole & chive creamed cheese… Well that’s what the menu said. No bacon, there was a rasher(I much prefer rashers anyhow), yup to the cream cheese and God knows where the guacamole was hiding. In the few times I have been in Manhattan I can safely say that there was nothing Carrie Bradshaw about that bagel. With the rashers it actually was very much Irish. So here is a few more accurate place names/local monuments and local flavour that would be more apt. Dear Bagel Bar why not just call it the«Northside bagel»? Or the«IMF bagel»? Or the«Luas bagel»? Or the«We are ruled by a corrupt government bagel»? Or the«Crack-heads on O’Connell St bagel»? All distinctly Irish.

This was the first place I stopped off to eat at while in Dublin! Even though the customer service can be a bit lacking at times, their bagels are good. I had s poppy seed bagel sandwich with cream cheese and lox and onions. Thankfully, unlike most American establishments, they leave out those annoying capers. The other bagels look appetizing, all though some of the sandwich fillings left me feeling a bit odd,(Ireland tends to do things quite differently than they do in the US,) but curious to try them out anyway. I also love the way they add 5 – 10 crisps(chips) to your plate, instead of making you buy a whole bag. This is the way it should be done in America and other places as well if you are trying to watch your weight and wish to make sure you don’t eat anymore than the suggested serving of chips. It’s lovely to get a seat by the window if possible and watch the luas pass by. Definitely would come back when in the mood for a bagel. Prices quite reasonable for Dublin.

I’m in the mood for something quick, but I don’t fancy walking Liffey st with a burger wrapper in my hand. I want to sit, I want to sip my coffee. I want an excuse to watch North Side characters stroll by. That means just one thing: Bagel Bar. So this isn’t gourmet, but it’s an easy formula; tasty, fresh bagels(sesame or whole grain works best) filled with the right stuff(chicken, peppers, mozzerella and spinach!) at a price that doesn’t empty my pockets. Done, done and done. Service can be slow and there are odd moments when you wonder if the staff really want you to be there but it’s all worth the price of admission when you get that coveted window seat. At Bagel Bar the location is 90% of the draw. Here you get an all-weather seat to watch waves of shoppers funnel through upper Liffey Street on their way to the Henry /Mary Street shops.
