I love this place — always busy, always with a fantastic atmosphere, fantastic cocktails & very cosy. I never felt rushed even once in this place. If it was closer to home I’d make it my local! Give it a look in!

Get The no. 27 drink! It is amazing! This bar is classy but you can also be casual. Great for a night cap before retreating to your room. They give you munchies to eat and the service is great. If you don’t see something you want the bartender will make something for you based on your likings.

I love this place I do but the cocktails are so v overpriced. € 19 for a mimosa or Kir royale. Great for a special occasion

A historic extablishment and beautiful rich décor. If you’re visiting Ireland for the first time, THIS would be the establishment to order your first Guiness.

The Horseshoe Bar(located in the Shelbourne Hotel) is a unique intimate bar with a cool layout. I recommend it for meeting up on a date, with a friend, or for a very small group of buddies.(The larger No. 27 Bar/Lounge is a cooler space with a nice buzz and much less stifling…) But, that being said, wandering in here when it’s less packed to enjoy a quiet drink with a friend or partner is a welcome diversion. On another note, there is also a relatively small TV which drew a ton of peeps when Ireland was playing in the Six Nations game — it’s not so much of a good spot to watch a game like that!

I read a question mark head review* and she mentioned about a Guinness mojito. I was mildly disgusted and at the same time intrigued. I called them to confirm that question mark head was not tripping. She wasn’t. Well I just had to go to try for myself. Saloon style bar which is in the shape of a horseshoe, funny that. Very posh but the clientele varied, I think a lot of people just pop in for the one drink and to enjoy the experience. What I found really disappointingly was that most people were drinking bottles of Coors Light and Guinness… Why pay more money for those two drinks that you can get for so cheap anywhere else? The Guinness mojito: Instead of the soda they use Guinness and it gives it a little head as the photo shows. I’m not a huge fan of mojitos as it is, so let’s just say that the taste was strange. But once I got accustomed to it, it was nicely refreshing then bam half way through it hit my legs. It was very potent. They have an excellent cocktail menu in there. Do try something adventurous if you decide to treat yourself with a visit here. * Seriously folks, please use a real profile picture… Unless you are like Mister Ed there should just be human faces behind the names. What have you got to hide?!
