The hotel itself is great. Very comfortable and very accommodating. Customer service is absolutely top notch. It is outside the city center so plan to either take a taxi every day or walk(10 – 15 min) down to the tram station. Because it is outside the city it is much cheaper. The rooms were always clean. The lobby is inviting. The restaurant in the hotel is another story. It looks… well like a 5 star restaurant. But that’s where it ends. The bartenders although extremely friendly couldn’t make simple drinks and in fact didn’t have ingredients for many of the drinks on their menu. The food was worse then bad. It was either way over salted or had virtually no flavor at all. The lamb was about as hard as shoe leather and the chocolate cake tastes like it sat out for a month. We only got desert because it was one that was on display, but they said it was made that morning. We wanted something else but they failed to mention during the dinner that the kitchen was closing so we couldn’t order anything else. Stay at the hotel. Don’t eat at the restaurant.

This is a nice hotel situated in a quiet industrial area of Dublin, away from all the noise. It has great access points to both the train and the bus. The rooms were very clean, luxury style rooms. Complete with coffee and tea. A good LCD television and a nice shower. I loved the bar below, they serve Guinness on tap and you haven’t tried Guinness until you have tried Guinness in Ireland. The staff is very accommodating. I will definitely stay here my next trip to Dublin.

This is the second time I’ve stayed here. Rooms are clean, the hotel information packet in the room was worn & torn. There was alot of noise when at the end of the end of the night when they were emptying bottles from the bar. Our room was on the ground floor

Stayed here 2 weeks ago. It was my 30th and my boyfriend and friends arranged for us to stay the night here. It was a surprise and they had arranged for a hairdresser to come do my hair and a beautician come do my makeup. As it was a surprise they had lots to do so needed an early check in. They managed it but apparrently it was with difficulty. Receptionist wasn’t too helpful in wanting to assist. Eventually they got it sorted and it all worked out fine. There was a wedding on too that day. Lets just say they weren’t a very nice bunch! The security weren’t too strict with them. duno if it was out of fear of starting something or because there was only 1 security guy… We ordered breakfast to our room which never arrived so we had to go down to have it but almost missed it so got cold leftovers! Like it r lump it! The rooms were gorgeous tho. really nice and fresh with(as said in another review) lotz of natural light. Beds were really comfy, with extra pillows etc in the wardrobe.

I’ve eaten both in the main restaurant and the bar and have never been disappointed. Our last visit was on Friday night last when the restaurant was booked out so we ate in the bar. Service is very friendly fast and unobtrusive. The same can be said for the restaurant. Staff are mainly local which makes communication a lot easier. The bar menu is a sample of the restaurant menu with some minor changes. I ordered crispy duck spring rolls with hoi sin sauce, my other half ordered prawn skewers with a vienamese sauce and I had baked haddock while he had lamb tagine for our mains. I guzzled on a bottle of pinot grigio for 25.00 while my hubby had a pint of cider. Food was well presented, tasty and good sized portions. we followed on with dessert of ice cream and our bill came to 95euro not incl. tip. All in all I’d give this place a definate thumbs up for its staff, its location(near luas on n7) and of course for its food. A good place to recommend and be confident in the recommendation.

In work I organise all of our events and use the Louis Fitzgerald a lot. It’s a good location when the attendees at your event are coming from both Dublin and down the country because it has the Luas outside for the Dublin people and it’s not right in the city so the country people do not have to battle with traffic to get to the location. The rooms in here are perfect, lots of natural day light and lots of fresh water with cordials and mints. The people who look attend to you are also really great, they don’t seem to mind too much when you are calling them every hour to either turn up or down the temperature in the room, participants at events are always very sensitive to temperature I find! All the rooms I have used have had a projector and a screen mounted in the ceiling which is really great when you are doing presentations. You can have the room laid out any way you want and in some cases when you have a large group you can book two adjoining rooms which can be opened out into two rooms although you will need to book early to avail of this, it’s a popular location for conferencing. One thing to be aware of though, when you are only using half of this room and there is a different group in the adjoining room you can always here laughter and clapping from the other conference which can be very annoying, similarly some of the rooms are around what must be a kitchen and at some point during the day you will hear a mixer going for awhile(I think it’s for soup!) and that can be really distracting also. The lunches in here are tasty!(Even if they are noisy to make!) And they are good value too with a cost of only € 14 for a hot dinner and a desert and there is always a choice too so the vegetarians are never left out and the chicken only eaters are happy and those who like to branch out and have a bit of fish are delighted with their options, everybody is happy! Make sure you leave room for the desert though, the baileys cheese cake is delicious!
