Stayed here during business visit to Dublin. I’ve been loyal to one of the major US hotel chains for biz travel, and The Marker sure tests that loyalty! Love the modern funky design, exceptionally fresh/local healthy food options(why dine in town when the menu here is great!). The service is outstanding – professional, prompt and courteous. Only wish the gym were a bit bigger and open longer. I will def plan to return!

High standard all the way! Very posh hotel, very nice luxurious design! I was attending there Blogger Conference. Food was very good, healthy sandwiches and protein low calorie snacks, 99% at the conference were females, it was great to know some bloggers, it was a fun day ! There were several tables there served with tea and coffee, so during our breaks we enjoyed our chats and a cuppa! Staff was very friendly and very nice to us. The only thing it was very cold in the hall we had conference on so i had to stay in my coat

Just want to say Mark in the brasserie was amazing! Just blew us away with his service tonight. He is a credit and the hotel is to be commended on someone like him on their team. The food is amazing especially the brunch, their Banoffee pie is something else. Would go back. Lu and Darina

Headed here with a couple of friends one Saturday afternoon. I know what you’re thinking, rooftop bar, Dublin summer, doesn’t really ring that attractive does it? Unless of course you enjoy being soaked wet through looking into grey mist. On the day we went it was raining — surprise — so we grabbed one beer in the modern and stylish downstairs bar while waiting for the rain to stop — a lovely Hop House 13, reasonably priced at € 5.75. Up on the rooftop we we’re given a nice sofa area with covering from the rain & they also gave us blankets to keep us warm — a necessity in the Irish summertime! Overall the place is well designed and gives you some great views of Dublin and whilst I was actually pleasantly surprised with the Marker and it’s rooftop option, for a place that is priding itself of being upmarket and for the location they are in, it just didn’t have the classy appeal I was expecting. It’s not that they do anything wrong so to speak, they just don’t do anything particularly noteworthy — which for a high end establishment in a vibrant city, you come to expect.

I am writing a review for the spa, and the spa only. I went with my husband and although we had a nice time at the pool before our treatment i think it was the poorest spa experience of my life. I have been to spas all over the world high end to low end. I had a 30 body massage and the 45min head massage. I had to ask my therapist 4 times to go harder. FOUR! And she never went hard at all. I was left feeling so unsatisfied. I literally could wait for her to leave the room so I could massage my own head. All I kept thinking is I hope my husband is having an amazing massage, so when he told me he had the exact same experience as me I was really disappointed. Such a waste, so expensive. Ps, and they messed up our booking off the start. Get it together over there People!

SUCHANINTERESTINGCRONUT«SHOP» LOCATION! This review will be in two parts: 1) Why this donut«shop» is so unique and worth a trip over and 2) the taste and quality. To start, this place is strictly a hotel and the cronuts are sold in the bar in boxes of 4 medium sized cronuts for 10 euros. The kitchen only makes about 5ish boxes, based on what the receptionist tells me and they usually sell out around noon or earlier. I came on a Monday and grabbed one of the last boxes around 12. You simply walk up to the bar, ask for cronuts, and receive a box of four. Inside, you get 2 each of pistachio cream with mini marshmallows and raspberry jam. Personally like the pistachio one more but both are delicious! The trick with cronuts is to get them the perfect balance between croissants and donuts and the marker’s tend to be more on the donut-y side than the croissants because it was more doughy and lacked flakiness. In addition, the donuts were baked in the morning and left to sit and would prob have been been better while they were still warm. Regardless, still really tasty and the pistachio cream is so creamy and goes perfectly with the denseness of the cronut. More of a crunchy top layer would have been nice but hey i ain’t complaining!

The rooftop bar at the Marker Hotel is a must to visit in Dublin. Brilliant service, comfortable coaches and foremost an AMAZINGVIEW. Great place to enjoy a sunny day. For colder days they have blankets and heaters available at your convenience. They offer a great choice of different cocktails and snacks. I ordered a watermelon martini with The Marker Irish beef slider. Both were delicious! I will come back there for sure :) Tip: Be there on time to avoid waiting in a queue.

We went to the Marker with friends; there were 6 of us in total. It was a busy Saturday, but the staff were very attentive and moved us when better seats became available. The cocktails were top notch albeit pricey. We will be going back as we will like to see the rooftop.

Was lucky enough to be treated to a Valentine’s tasting meal here in February and wow, was it impressive! The hotel has such a modern, exclusive feel and the atmosphere was buzzing. The staff were so friendly and professional and the food was incredible, my starter of cured fish was the best I’ve had all year. The other courses were all top-notch, with the main of beef being another stand-out, it literally melted in the mouth and the accompanying sauce was on another level of deliciousness. A box of pretty pink macaroons to take home rounded off the meal beautifully and was a great touch. If you are looking for somewhere to be wined and dined and do a spot of people-watching then The Marker is the place for you. One brief aside… I’d heard that the roof-top bar was fabulous and was really looking forward to having a post-dinner drink there but it was closed for the evening by the time we’d finished… just the excuse I need to back really haha!

Seit etwa anderthalb Jahren gibt es neben dem dem Merrion Hotel in Dublin das zweite Leading Hotel of the World — the Marker Hotel. Modernes Ambiente, bequemer Stil, alles gut.

Spectacular, luxurious and expensive just about covers it I think. I was here for a launch so I got to sample most of what the marker can offer without the inconvenience of parting with cold hard cash, which was nice. Sadly I didn’t stay so I can’t speak about the accommodation, but I hear it is likewise superb. Leaving aside the truly delicious food and smart and efficient staff, the thing that really struck me was the buzz and the atmosphere; the place felt alive, it felt like it was a place lots of people were going to to have fun and to be treated. The hotel is vast and the spaces big and bright, the architecture focusing on uncluttered clean lines and big bright spaces. It all makes for a very relaxed and pleasant environment. There is a garden on the roof which I am told is well worth a visit — I shall do so as soon as I can for a cool drink on a(hopefully) hot summers eve.

I’ve been here on two occasions now, once for a Christmas Party & once to chill on their roof top terrace. As far as the Christmas party goes, the service was second to none, the food was tasty(considering it was turkey & ham) however I do feel they sacrificed flavour for decoration — e.g. we had a giant root vegetable of some kind that was carved into the shape of a bullet. It was fine, but extremely weird. Also, the dessert was extremely luscious… Not needed after the preceding courses, and this is as a chocolate lover speaking about a chocolate dessert. Way too heavy, could honestly only eat about 2 bites. Again I feel they sacrificed flavour for being fancy… I will say that the roof-top bar was a huge redeeming factor for me. Spacious, comfortable couches, service was absolutely brilliant, blankets & heaters(was February when we were there) & a great drinks menu. Definitely worth a look!

I visited the spa and rooftop bar a couple of weeks ago. I would rate the spa experience in The Marker 5 stars. The service was fantastic. The Marker spa in Dublin feels like an oasis in the middle of the city centre. I would highly recommend it. We got the Sunday Special. The pool, steam room, jacuzzi and changing rooms were totally flawless. After the spa we headed up to the rooftop terrace. The views are spectacular but I do feel that given that Ireland is never going to be super warm that more could be done to improve this space. The glass could be higher to provide more shelter from the winds and there could be more heating for the cooler winter months.

What did I love about The Marker? 1. The AC. It was a bit of a heatwave when I visited Ireland for two weeks, and The Marker was one of two hotels out of eight that had it. 2. The breakfast buffet was pretty dang good. I was a big fan of the hand crafted yogurts available. 3. The location. The Hop On, Hop Off tour also picks up right down the street(and you can buy tickets at reception.) 4. The staff. Everyone was really friendly, especially Robert at the front desk and Steven. 5. The view on the rooftop bar. 6. The complimentary coffee they will bring to your room with your wakeup call. 7. The toiletries they provide. I have nothing bad to say about this hotel at all; it was incredible,

The rooftop bar is the main selling point of The Marker for me — the views are stunning and even on a chilly night it’s cosy with heated areas and bright yellow blankets to snuggle up in. The cocktails are a spectacle in themselves — I ordered one that was ‘infused with cinnamon’ where cinnamon sticks were were lit in an upturned glass, allowing the smoke to fill the tumbler. Not sure it impacted the taste massively but it was interesting to watch it being made nonetheless! Cocktails are pricey(€ 12+) but regular beers and wines are reasonable. The general downstairs bar is also really nice, it has quite a corporate atmosphere unlike the rooftop however the food is good and the drinks decently priced. I love the touch of olives being brought to your table when there’s a round of drinks ordered — it makes me come here over other bars in the area that charge similar prices without the little extras.

A little disappointed! With this place on my bucket list for a few months was super excited to spend afternoon of an anniversary here. Place is ultra modern and we decided to opt for the bar which on arrival was super busy… After bn greeted, we were seated in a small table off the view of the main bar so it took away of the flair for me, the table was still dirty with tea stains and to my surprise they seated us, offered menu but FAIL to clean the table down. The food was nice, not the standard I hear their brasserie is like but all the same, a good bits to eat and reasonable prices however as tables were cleared, basic things were amiss… Plates cleared but table not wiped down so we had to work away crumbs finished our coffees and dessert — shame! A lot of staff on so these little things shouldn’t have been missed plus was obvious there was no ‘order’ about the service between waiters and heads as ye could over hear then asking tables for order but order already taken, niggling things! Has potential to be super amazing go to spot in Dublin — not giving up on this place yet!!! I’ll give then a second chance someday soon to impress

I had the cronut. It was sugary. It was sweet. It was heavy. It was about a stone of a diabetic’s worst nightmare crossed with a dentist’s cash cow. Whoever came up with the idea of a doughnut crossed with a croissant needs to be both applauded and berated in equal measure. It’s not something you’re going to eat every day, it’s not something you should eat once a month, but it’s definitely something you NEED to try. You can buy a box of four from the Marker for a tenner, and as they say in Home Store & More; when they’re gone, they’re gone.(until the next day when the next batch of limited edition, limited quality saccharine dreams come out) Treat your workmates, or try to devour them all yourself in a sugar-fueled moment of Man Vs Food madness.
