Came accross this place by accident a lovely bar to head to for a glass of wine. They have a great menu and serve meat & cheese boards ideal for a sneaky date night.

Nice wine back tucked down a basement on Duke Street, it’s a very usual quirky wine bar space in the heart of the city. It’s a very small venue, staff are very friendly and welcoming. When I was there, 2 ladies appeared to be the owners and they worked the room, making sure everyone was enjoying themselves, helping with orders and settling up tabs as/when needed. When here, there was live music which was a nice touch, it wasn’t over powering just perfect for that background music whilst you talk and enjoy a nice glass of wine. For a wine bar, at the time I recall their menu selection not being very extensive that saying, what I had was still nice.

We went to The Red Bank on a Saturday night. They had a Spanish Guitar guy playing in the background. Which just accommodates that lovely and home feeling place. Wine was great. We had a Red(Cab) and a Rose. It is a nice unexpected treasure of Dublin City.

I went here last night(April 20, 2015). I arrive late around 2130 hrs. It wasnt to busy so I didnt think I would get anything to eat. I asked the bartender(Ryan) if I could get some food. He was very accomadating and whipped up a wonderful cheese board with cold meets. Had a great bottle of vino and enjoyed talking to the patrons and bartender. I would recommend this place. Especially if you want a cool place to hang out with your vino and cheese! Well done Red Bank!
