This place surprised me. For a place out in the middle of nowhere, over a local pub the food in here is really great. I only had a main, so no starter or dessert to comment on, but prawn crackers on the table when you sit down & fresh hot food delivered quick sharp. I had a pad thai which was quite spicy & very tasty. Also, they brought out shots with the bill, which is something I haven’t seen done in Dublin in a LONG time so that was much appreciated too. Overall you could defo do worse for your money!

Visiting from Canada to take my girlfriend out to dinner for her birthday. Downloaded the Unilocal app to find restaurants around the area. This restaurant had no previous reviews, so I never would have discovered this hidden gem. Her brother mentioned the Phoenix, so we gave it a try, and were quite pleasantly surprised. The ambiance was top notch. Food was incredible with a beautiful presentation. Service was speedy and accurate. We simply could not find a single thing to justify a lower score ranking. Even the washrooms were sparkling clean and fully functional. Lynn, the owner, ensured that our every request was quickly and accurately met, and frequently checked in to verify that all was well. We can’t find a single thing wrong with The Rising Phoenix, so it earns my full 5-Star rating. I’ve bookmarked this gem to ensure I visit it again the next time I fly across the Atlantic.
