At the very young age of 17 I moved to Greenwich Village in New York, just around the corner from a spot on 6^th Avenue that had an overwhelming selection of sex shops. A few months later I was presented with the opportunity to see a hilarious musical adaptation of the infamous porn Debbie Does Dallas. At the completion of the musical my friends and I realised that we’d never actually seen Debbie Does Dallas and thus they all agreed that I should be the one to go into the shop and buy a copy. We chose a shop that looked clean and well lit and in I headed, I looked at the selection of very intriguingly named pornos like Watch Me Pee Part 3, but alas no Debbie Does Dallas, so I garnered up the courage to ask the man working the counter if he had any copies. Suddenly, I found myself in some dark, seedy back room with three sweaty middle aged men all trying to help me find Debbie Does Dallas. Utopia Products brought me back to this experience immediately. It’s a bit seedy and dated. It claims to be the first sex shop in Dublin city centre and it looks like it hasn’t moved on a whole lot since then.
They do offer a very well stocked website that offers discreet deliveries, etc for those blushing violets out there. It might be a better alternative for all …
