I had a visit at wakedock in may unfortunately with an ankle injury. The park is awesome in a great location. They even have a little pro shop with a really good selection. Next time I’m in Dublin I will be there multiple times for sure. Lovely staff too!

Loved every minute of this! Wake boarding is something I’ve been planning on doing for aaaagges and kept putting it off, putting it off. Finally got down there the other day and I thought to myself, well that was silly, the summer’s nearly over, and it turns out, it’s bloody great craic! I guess the major thing that was putting me off was the price — it’s not cheap by any stretch of the imagination. It was 35 euro including board & wetsuit on a Monday evening at peak time, and that’s for 15 mins. However, it’s important to note that: — There are ways of doing it a lot cheaper — if you’re going off-peak for example, you could get it for as little as 20 eurits for a longer time, or if you were sharing an hour or two with a group of friends, or if you buy a bundle of time, which gets you money off — The other thing is, we were both out there for about 20 mins each really and to be honest, it’s nearly enough when you’re starting out. It’s a very different skill to learn if you haven’t ever done it before, and that amount of time is pretty much sufficient. The guys are really lovely here — very friendly, encouraging and patient. The location is spot on — who know you could do water sports right in town! The price can be made cheaper. And it’s VERY fun, and a totally different way of exercising your body. I am definitely going to go back and would absolutely recommend it.
