My favorite salon for getting hair done! Hairdressers are highly professional, they are using natural Aveda products, I trust them my hair and always leaving salon happy, can’t wait to get my hair done tomorrow just right for Valentines !
Hairdressers are highly professional, when talking to them you realize they’ve lots of hairdressing experience, they know their job very well, it’s not cheap they charge quite a lot, but they are highly professional it’s so worth every penny …
Also staff is super friendly and make you feel special, they always offer you cup of tea/​coffee and take time to consult you even if you just pop in for without appointment.
Highly recommend !

I’ve been getting my highlights done in Whetstone since 2006. Can’t recommend them enough! The Aveda hair colours they use are really natural and gentle on your hair. They seem to specialise in more subtle, natural shades, so if you’re looking for more trendy or statement colours it might not suit. But you want the most natural, flattering tones in your hair, give them a go. The salon is tiny though, so book well in advance. Pity they closed their much bigger branch on South Anne St, which was a much better location…

Do not go to this salon, though it is on the Aveda website salon list. I received the worst hair cut of my life. The hairdresser did not listen, butchered my hair to my shoulders when I have been growing it out for a year and clearly told her that. They do not take pure privilege points as stated on the Aveda website. I knew more about the products than the staff. Uncomfortable wash and the ceiling was leaking with water being caught in a bowl.
Avoid at all costs!!!

For years, I’ve struggled to find hair-​products that manage my curly head. I’ve tried dozens of different brands that promise to keep my curls in place, but never found anything that worked. For all of you who can understand the pain of combating frizzy hair, I have news for you. The Aveda ‘Be Curly’ line (shampoo, conditioner and curl enhancer and a finishing gloss to give the hair extra shine for a night out on town) actually works and is a life-​saver for curly girls and guys. They of course have products for all sorts of hair types but I don’t know if they work as magically.
When I moved to Dublin, I panicked when none of my friends knew where to by Aveda. I thought I needed to ship my shampoo from back home, but then I discovered that Wetstone hair salon has a good selection of Aveda products. It’s a bit pricy, but these are quality products so you don’t have to use the same amount as the cheaper stuff, so the shampoo actually lasts. And happy hair always comes with a price. No more bad hair days for me, thank you very much!
