Great place to browse and buy. Staff are really friendly and helpful if you need advice on a book you might be looking for and are happy to order as needed.

Probably my favorite place to browse books in DL. It is quiet. I mean like really quiet, which is how I love my bookstores. While the selection isn’t the best, the staff are always super helpful in offering solutions to help me out. Plus there is Mary, Mary the lovely cashier. Mary the lovely cashier who talks with me about cooking/baking, the beauty of cheese and jokes with the boyfriend she will bar me from the cooking section if he doesn’t behave. Really, for a local bookstore chain it is pretty wonderful.

A great bookshop that’s quite often overlooked because it’s on the top floor of the shopping centre in DL. Nonetheless it has an extensive selection of books across all genres. To begin with it has a substantial collection of fiction with most well-known authors can be found on the shelves. In some cases you may even find different print runs of the same title. They have a nice little classics section as well where you’ll find Joyce, Tolstoy and an assortment of literature’s greats. Personally I like that they have quite good science and philosophy sections, not as massive as some of the large places in town mind, but they have regular turnover so you’ll always find something new. They’ve also opened a smaller boutique shop on the middle floor of the same shopping centre. I think this an attempt to increase their visibility as the shop opens out onto the main street in DL. Thus the idea being you go in there to pick up a book and if it’s not in that shop then you’ll be directed to the larger store upstairs.
