A nice little inlet with fine sand… a rarity in Dublin. You can come here for a sit down on the sand when the tide is out or on the wall when its in. Some like to take a dip in the sea off the Pier area above the cove. While others like to wade out from the beach. It is a safer and quieter option than the Forty Foot and better for children. There is a lifeguard house so there is some sort of protection available. On a sunny day the curve of the cove takes in nearly the whole day of sunshine… its fantastic, though absolutely packed! Go early if you want a good spot… but beware of the tide!
