Slevin’s

I’ve been working in Dunboyne for one whole year and I must have been into good old Slevin’s at least thirty times now. It’s a very good spot for both breakfast and lunch.
I’ve had the breakfast here once and I wish we could go more often. It’s probably one of the best I’ve ever had. Just a reminder, I am Emmie «The Breakfast Buff» B. so I know my game! Huge portions, fantastic flavours and excellent service. My breakfast order can get a little complicated, but my food was delivered as ordered.
The lunches are also fantastic and very good value. They have a full range of sandwiches, wraps, soups and main course carvery. Really good value.
One thing that really makes Slevin’s stand out is the staff. They are really wonderful people who cannot do enough for you. Friendly and efficient. Just my style.
I love this place. I love the food, the décor, the staff, the price, everything. It’s great and highly recommended.

My husband and I had just arrived in Dunboyne from flying into Dublin. We were cranky, hungry and just generally in a crappy mood. We walked into this place because it was the first place we saw that was open. What a gift! The owner (I forget her name) was so sweet and made us a wonderful lunch of grilled ham and cheese sandwiches with veggie soup for dipping. The food was perfect, hot and comforting. We enjoyed our lunch next to the fireplace as it was raining outside (what?! rain in Ireland you say?!) Just what we needed after a long flight! Of course, the Guinness didn’t hurt either.

Nice pub, good food, very good staff and the lager is chilled.
