We visited here a few times on a recent trip to Wexford. What drew me in was definitely the offer of chowder, it was delicious both times I ordered it, although it was a little over cooked the second time round. Probably best to get it when it’s made fresh. Their mussels were yummy too and caught just a few miles away, can’t beat that. Relaxed interior décor with lots of seating and nooks and crannies so would be good for big families and couples alike, they also had a pretty decent variety of Irish craft beers available. It was quiet while we visited midweek but I’d say the atmosphere at the weekend is buzzing. Nice place for a spot of lunch or dinner overall and very generous portions. Yum.

I was visiting the area for 1 week and we returned to this pub 3 times! The food is delicious! I particularly enjoyed the chowder; a generous selection of fish, served with brown bread. There is also a great variety of Irish Craft Beers although it would be nice to have a few more on tap. The staff were friendly and helpful and were confident when recommending beers and food. I should also mention the music; we visited during the afternoon and it was a lovely mix of folk and singer song writers. The décor has it’s charm but when you look closely it looks like it had been cobbled together which made me a little worried to how safe it all might be… Overall, I would say I am a fan.

Abosultely brilliant pub, very friendly, out of the two pubs in this small village of Duncannon, close to Dunbrody House Hotel, was by far the best, great food great atmosphere, cant wait to go back in the summer.
