I love this place. Among the joys of having an Irish husband are a) colorful swear words b) a charming accent and c) when we visit the inlaws, we go to Ireland. So, once I find out that there’s an ice rink the middle of town, I grab my husband, and his unassuming cousin and head out. Now, I think this is going to be some small rink, maybe a story… I was so wrong. It’s amazing. It’s large, modern, clean, good rentals, nice staff and the rink is absolutely huge; it was so busy the day we went(I say«the day» because I don’t drive in Europe yet and couldn’t get them to come back) was packed and there was STILL enough room to skate around. I look forward to figuring out those roundabouts next time we go and heading here myself again.

A very impressive establishment, located in Dundalk, is it’s new Ice Rink. It is on a large scale, with lots of parking, and a good sized rink for skating around, showing off in the middle, or holding on to the side, whatever you prefer! The rink also plays host to ice hockey games — as well as training in ice hockey and figure skating lessons. Throughout your visit the music played is top 40, whatever music is popular with the kids and makes a fun day out for anybody.

For one thing there’s loads of parking! A bit hard to get too so could do with a few more sign posts. Reasonably priced, friendly staffed and the rink is olympic sized! There’s a nice place to have a few drinks and a bite to eat. They cater for kids with helmets and play music throughout your session. All in all a nice day out for all the family!
