Dromore Wood is a great place to take the family for a day out if you are in Clare. It is a nature reserve in the heart of Co. Clare with various walking trails for all levels of hikers. I like to bring the family out on sunny days in the summer to get a glimpse of nature that you can’t see from the cites these days. It’s open year-​round, but the tourist information and other shops are only open during the peak of summer. There is no fee, but be aware they do close the barrier so if you are parked inside make sure to check when they close. If you haven’t been, its well worth the visit. It’s one of those places you can’t really describe, but have to see sure.
