They have a good selection of beer in the City, they even have a menu to enjoy a nice beer. Good location and i had a good fun.

Off the beaten path of the center of downtown Galway, the Bierhaus is a low-key neighborhood bar that serves more than just beer. You have your choice of cocktails and even a bit of food(without the 2 courses for € 20 business that is elsehwhere)… And they have nonalcoholic options as well for those who were frozen to bits by a windy day(ah, tea!). I personally ordered a dark and stormy as well, and since it was made with fresh ginger(ground right in front of me), it was super refreshing – though not as sweet as I’m used to(and tend to like) when this drink is made with ginger beer. But, it was still done very well, so gets 4.5 stars for that! Plus it was done with a smile. Plus, as much as I like to listen to the Irish music in town, it was also nice to take a break and listen to more mainstream stuff while enjoying my drink. The only drawback here is that it’s hard to converse; it’s fairly loud even though there’s no one in here, and the tables are fairly wide so you have to really lean in to converse. Bottom line: Want a no-hassle drink? Tired of Guinness? Go here.

Great little pub. We had a few biers and a couple of sandwiches and were pleased with both. The food, although it was limited to sandwiches, was not the typical pub grub. We were pleasantly surprised by the originality and the wonderful taste. The bar was also very nice with a wide selection of draft biers. Although they had my standard choice when I explained what my preferences the bar tender made a couple of recommendations and even offered me a taste before I made a choice. Both the bar tender and the cook were very friendly as well. I would definitely recommend if you are looking for a quieter type of pub that you can have an easy conversation.

The Bier Haus is a decent bar but just cannot compare with the local competition. It lacked atmosphere and it didn’t help that the person serving us was far from friendly. The beer was decent though. Both the Independent IPA and the Buxton Jaw Gate were rather nice, so if you are in the area for beers then I would suggest popping in to see what they have.

One of the very few places in Galway where you can get a proper(and very tasty) cocktail! The sandwiches are fantastic! Looking forward to returning next summer!

«Craft beer thank Goodness» Great to see the craft beer scene take off in Ireland. This is a clean comfy bar with lots of seating and more importantly lots of beer on tap and bottles. Plus cocktails for her indoors.

A great selection of beers is matched by a warm welcome and the new kitchen makes some unreal sandwiches and potatoes. Match that all with some good tunes & great bar and you’ve got a winner!

Have to give props where props are due. This place has an excellent lineup of beers from around the world. 21 taps with at least 50 bottles to choose from you should be able to find something your looking for. They also carry a decent lineup of whisky with a few nice bourbons, scotches, and Irish ones. When your tired of the same lineup of smithwicks Guinness and bulmers give this place a try. Nice to see and Irish pub going out of its way for some good craft beer selections!

I had heard of it of course but never been. Walking back to salthill(camping) we came across it. Very near the salthouse. I was slightly disappointed by the lack of Irish beer in tap but it is a German style bar and there is plenty of German and continental European beer on tap. The background music on the Saturday evening was jazz and they were serving tapas if you were feeling peckish. A very enjoyable place to be and I was very comfortable on the leather couch. ** Was back this weekend and there are more Irish beers on tap now.
