Lovely café in Gorey, Wexford. Always busy. Nice décor, mix n match of tables and chairs, armchairs and sofas which is pretty cool. As the name may imply, there is a second hand book store at the back of the café which is worth a browse after dining, or maybe selecting a book to puruse while having a coffee. The lady working here was very friendly and helpful. A novel twist to the café experience. Dropped by today mid morning for coffee and scones, both excellent. Scones very fresh and served with cream, yum! One criticism however that I have no choice but to remove a star for, the table I sat at had not been wiped clean and I had to get a napkin and do it myself! Looking around also, other tables could have been cleaner. The glass my friend was given also didn’t look particularly clean, which is a real turn off. The staff here are very friendly and hard working and I understand they were busy but there is no excuses for lack of cleanliness in the food service industry. I’ve been here before and this has never been an issue so I’m sure it was a once off. Thanks!

Plenty cakes & meringues for the sweet toothed. Very friendly helpful staff & a 2nd hand book store out back! You can have a browse around the shelves or sit & read.
