Always a good place to stop in at if you’re visiting the Howth Markets. The book sale at the Howth Scout centre always has a wide range of cheap and great quality books. In the entryway there is a collection of books priced at 3 for 1 euro… I recommend skipping this section(because unless you want to read trash books on dieting or 1997 wine guides for South Africa then there’s not much of value here). Upstairs is where they real goodies are. They have a section entitled ‘interesting older books’ — worth a look! They also have a fairly large biographies section and, much to my surprise, a large collection of foreign books. Very impressive! Most books will go for around a fiver but the really good ones will cost you a little more. A lengthy browse is definitely recommended!
