In the one street town of Inagh lies a pub that from the outside looks singularly unimpressive. Inside it is scarcely any more impressive — until you order a drink that is. For this is the home of the Biddy Early Brewery, Ireland’s first pub brewery, and in particular Black Biddy, the first new stout in Ireland in over 200 years. I kid you not, it is also the finest stout I have ever tasted, putting the modern day efforts of Guinness to shame. They also do a red ale, a lager and latterly a real ale too, so ideally you want to be making sure you are not the designated driver for this visit!
