Most of the staff in the café are Italian so very Friendly staff. Ginseng latte is the best. Sometimes can be a bit touch and go with coffees, a couple of times they have been very weak. Staff are always more than happy to help

Was over in Kildare Village today and came here for lunch. The restaurant was pretty busy, lots of families waiting to be seated. We got seated fairly quick. Our server was pretty quick to take our order. Food came even quicker. I ordered the salad with goats cheese, pear and walnuts. It came with two thin slices of brown bread. The presentation of the salad with the pear and cheese was nice, however it looked like a bag of premixed salad was used as base. And the walnuts were ground and sprinkled on the cheese, as opposed to being whole and scattered throughout the salad. The portion was ok, maybe I’m just accustomed to US portions now lol. I ordered a coffee which was good. Atmosphere was good and staff were not overly attentive. We had to flag a server down to ask her to heat up some baby food. Our own server just checked on us the once. Am I acclimatized to service in the US as well?

Food quality: average Value for money: poor /shocking People go here because they have the only restaurant in Kildare Outlet village. Like the D&C mob monopoly! A panini(Piccantino) with 3 thin slices of salami and a microscopic amount of cheese with a ramekin size cup of minestrone for € 10.50 Truffle ravioli: this takes the«ripoff trophy»! 8 small raviolis for € 16.50! That’s more than € 2 per piece. I asked if a side of bread came with pasta as it does in any Italian restaurant. No– had to buy a side! Garlic bread: 4 measly slices of ciabatta for € 4.50. Didn’t taste the garlic Wine: € 7 a glass for a Gavi that didn’t wow me I complained to the server who got the manager. The manager was lovely and said many people complain about the pasta servicing size but the boss wants that to be the size. She gave us a free coffee to ease the pain of spending € 42 on lunch that would have cost less in NYC or been more substantial at Subway

Service is good, food is ok but not as the best as usually this group delivers among their several restaurants in Dublin. I suppose because in the end you go here not by choice but for necessity being the only one restaurant facility at the Kildare Outlet Village. Restaurant is big with too many people, so the environment is not intimate and on the contrary it gets noisy. In simple words, don’t expect to engage in a romantic lunch with your partner :-) Again, the food is ok though. Probably I am too demanding when it comes to Italian food, but as native Italian it is my duty to discern excellence versus standard. Once we entered we were impressed by the signs of awards received and on display on their wall. Then you have to queue for a little bit, but if you are 2 people it gets really quicker than if you are in a big group. We asked for the combo: Focaccia and soup at 10.50 Euro, as listed on the menu, but the focaccia was not available, so we had to go for a regular roll or so called Ciabatta. I chose the ciabatta with mozzarella cheese, parma ham and tomato, with lentils soup. The soup was really tasty but on my opinion was not a lentils soup but a chickpeas soup, however was good anyway. However the portion was small. More than a eat was a taste. The ciabatta on my opinion wasn’t filled enough with food and was not toasted properly, still white and not brownish. I like the idea of filtered water bottle for 1 Euro. Nice and tastes fresh. No chlorine. I think this place worth for a try especially if you want to fill your stomach in the Outlet Village straight away without having a stroll to the nearby town Centre with more of options(price wise too).

I liked the food. Although it is a bit expensive. The stuff is friendly. They look after you. I just didn’t like that they don’t warn parents to mind their kids who put their shoes on the sofa. It is nice place to try when you are the village. You can feel posh for one day.

Lunch at L’Officina Dunne & Crescenzi is the only reason my other half never complains about a day trip to Kildare Village(well that, and the Ralph Lauren factory shop). The food is on par with my general experience of Dunne & Crescenzi’s — it’s high quality, very tasty Italian fare, with a nice selection of wines to wash it down. On our last visit I had pasta with a truffle and cream sauce and it was one of the most delicious meals I’ve ever eaten. Service can feel a little rushed as it’s the only sit down restaurant in Kildare Village so it’s generally very busy; be prepared to queue — but the queue moves fast, and the food makes it all worthwhile.

I’ve stopped by here a few times over the years, and today I was on a shopping trip to Kildare, so I stopped by for Breakfast, despite it being 10.30 when we hit and the village car park nearly being at capacity L’Officina was quite quiet and that made for a swift seating, oddly as we where a two, at a table for four. The restaurant has had a makeover since my last visit and the restaurant now has a very classy grown up feel, separating the deli off completely is a good move and it helps to create a great atmosphere. Alas, the configuration lacks a little attention to detail, we where seated at a banquette and the table was significantly too far out from the seat an annoyingly, off centre with the seat — you know that annoying spot where the seat sections join, and your left sitting at a cushion half hard, and half soft. From the start service was sketchy but friendly, the table is laid with upturned water glasses — oddly no water was forthcoming… We sat for what felt like an age before our order was taken, although thankfully the food was served fairly quickly. Two orders of scrambled egg, one with mushroom and one with salmon where well put together and really very tasty, equally the coffee was good. Unfortunately, my second coffee didn’t arrive before it was time to go, which was another glitch in the service… All in all, it’s a better option than Starbucks, and at Kildare Village that’s your only two choices, perhaps they feel a little complacent — it kinda comes across that way.

This is really the only place in Kildare Village to get a good sit down lunch. Unfortunately, due to the fact that they have the monolpoly, its really not the best. I have been to other resteraunts in this chain and they have been much better. While the queue moves fast, the service is very rushed, to get everyone in and out. We were brought to the table prior to it being cleaned or set, and they then forgot to finish setting the table and we had to ask for more cutlery. While the food was very tastey, I am sorry to say that on this instance, the overall service was a bit of a let down.
