I wanted a quick and inexpensive bite to eat in Kilkenny and this definitely fit the bill. The service was friendly and un-intrusive. I enjoyed my wrap, although I wish it was a bit more filling(sorry I was there a few months ago and can’t remember exactly which one I had). I was a little confused about where to order, but the staff was very friendly and helped me get it sorted out. They do have wifi so that was also a plus :)

I feel there is so much more that could be done with this place. First and foremost, the location is simply not amazing. I have to admit that’s why I went in. On the main street, right above the library… I was expecting some sort of artsy café, full of book lovers and aspiring writers. It is not. It was really just a café. The staff is very nice and friendly. The place is lacking atmosphere and the food is good but not memorable. It’s a good place when you need to grab something quick(the service is exceptionally quick). Oh, and the biggest of thumbs up for their caramel latte frappucino, one of the best I’ve had so far!

We arrived in Kilkenny after an overnight flight and a drive down from Dublin. We had a little difficulty finding our B&B, and a were a little stressed/tired/hungry upon arrival. Our hosts at the B&B recommended this place for a bite to eat, and it was everything we could have wanted and more. My only regret is that we didn’t stay two days in Kilkenny to eat here again. The staff is very friendly. We were seated right away with a great window seat so we could people watch. I got a ham and cheddar sandwich on brown bread, and it was perfect. It was toasted so the cheese was melted. The brown bread was great. Abby got some kind of chef salad with lots of things on it and she loved it. I was sorely tempted by their baked goods, but didn’t actually try them. But they looked amazing! I can’t recommend this place highly enough!

Stopped in for a quick lunch to get away from the rain. We were not disappointed the food was flavorful and the coffee was outstanding.

Good place for a tasty, inexpensive lunch. We tried the soup of the day(mushroom), and the tuna salad — both good. Service was pleasant and prompt. And we had a nice view out over the busy street, where we could watch the goings-on.

This place is located just above the Kilkenny Book Centre in the city centre. They serve a range of sandwiches, wraps, paninis and other lunch time foods. The classic toasted sandwich is good and comes with a side of chips and coleslaw. Grab a window seat so you can watch the hustle and bustle of High St. down below. If you’re ordering tea ask for a mug because the handles on their cups are just too small for normal-sized fingers!
