The café was very crowded when I came in for a coffee and sandwich but I found a nice little table and enjoyed the food very much. The portion was so generous that I could still take some of it home. And it was freshly made, perfectly spiced and served with a smile. All the staff were lovely and I especially liked to see how welcoming they were to families with children.

We came in for a quick cappuccino but stayed for some surprisingly delicious foods. The staff was warm and friendly. I hope to revisit!

Although it sounds like a rowdy pub, the Nuthouse is actually a small and quirky sandwich café in Killester. It’s a charming enough place with nice hand-made sandwiches. I had the posh chick — which is sliced chicken breast, basil, and brie. Quite tasty and generous portions. If you happen to be in Killester, the Nuthouse should be on your short-list for a casual lunch and/or brunch. There are a few outdoor tables, though you’re likely better inside as the Nuthouse fronts the parking lot to SuperValu.

The Nuthouse offers meals, coffees and snacks. It’s ideally suited in Killester close to the Dart station and Supervalu is a few doors up. I dropped in for a coffee and a slice of Apple pie and enjoyed it very much. The furnishings are homely and the atmosphere calm and cosy. A great place for a meal or for a coffee and cake.
