During our honeymoon, my husband and I stumbled upon Hamlet’s after unsuccessfully trying to get dinner at two local pubs(that were not serving food though their signs outside claimed«food served all day») — a lucky find where we ended up spending two evenings while in Kinsale. Hamlet’s is one of the many venues in Kinsale owned by the Blue Haven collection and apparently is the newest addition. A restaurant/bar/nightclub with comfy indoor and outdoor(heated) seating, good music, TVs all around, and a great adult-friendly atmosphere. Our server was prompt and attentive, made good recommendations on the menu, and we were very comfortable hanging out for a while. The spanish fries were an excellent appetizer, just enough kick and not too big a portion to split. Husband had the Hawaiian pizza for dinner and I had the bacon burger — both very good, just a little too heavy on the portion, but good. We each had a dessert as well but I can’t recall what we ordered. Had a few drinks at our table and at the bar as well; friendly bartenders, servers and locals. We noticed as we left on the patio outside there was a little raver party with house music but we couldn’t hear it from inside and it seemed a different atmosphere. We came back the following night after dinner at another restaurant; several younger couples were frequenting the bar and there was more of a nightclub atmosphere. We hung around for a drink then left.
