Did a helicopter lesson a couple years back it was amazing did a circle around the wicklow mountains and back to the airport The flight was a little short but you pay for what you get and all The road to the place is dangerous no pathway at all and the plots were not really friendly once your finished they kick you out and thats it its very rush rush overall I enjoy it

It is nice place where to stop by for lunch. You have the view of air field where aircrafts take off and land plus a good food. I had vegetarian burger, which I recommend. The restaurant is simple but well kept and the stuff makes you welcome. If have kids, they might like it big enough to accommodate a group too. If you have passion of aircrafts, it is the place for you.

This private airport has a restaurant/lounge where to go for lunch, snack or tea, if you are around lucan, Leixlip, Celbridge. From the lounge area you can see the air field with Cessna and Piper aircrafts landing and taking off. Nice and relaxing view. There are also helicopters, I suppose they do private business transport to Dublin. Here operates also the Weston Aviation Academy. Parking space is free of charge. The best place where to see the airplane is the lounge bar/restaurant located at the first floor. Main courses all at 12 Euro. I got an hamburger with chips and was nice. From the parking you can see some planes on the ground, but it is not the best view. At the entrance of the building there is a sign where you can book a flight scenic view, but there wasn’t specified the price, only the phone number. New place for me and cool. I will come back again.

Friends of ours picked up a Groupon deal for this restaurant and we took up the offer this evening. It was an incredible offer at € 15 for two people for a really good homemade hearty burger served in a lightly dressed salad bun with lots of freshly made crispy chips plus a pint of Clonmel beer each! Excellent food(at least what we sampled which was only the beef burgr), lovely friendly attentive staff, even gave us extra chips. Our party purchased an extra two pints of Clonmel beer plus two cups of coffee for a very reasonable extra € 12. We have absolutely no quibble with the standard of food and service but boy does the place lack ambiance and cosiness big time. Plain dark formica top tables, black leather chairs, not a candle, flower or decoration in sight — even if they put a few large plants around the place it would have made a huge difference — or perhaps brightly coloured table mats or table cloths. The restaurant/bar is large with an empty feel — just three other tables occupied when we were there this evening, but perhaps that was due to the fact that they close around 7 pm on a Saturday. I’m guessing by the opening hours that they do most of the trade during the day. It would probably be a good venue for lunch as there is tons of free parking and it is just a stones throw from the M4 at Junction 5 in Lucan. If you are a aviation enthusiast, there is a brilliant view from the semi-circle windows surrounding the restaurant where you can watch small aircraft take off and land.
