Haven’t been here in years and its the exact same ! Great early bird menu ! They do a great thai green curry for a reasonable price ! I wasn’t big on the sauce that came with the spring rolls, thought it was sweet chili but tasted like apple ? Also very friendly staff and the seating arrangements are very interesting for a few of the tables(you pretty much sit in a dug out) which makes it feel a lot more private. All in all a great thai place thats been around for Years

Not great. There is nothing particularly wrong with it either. It’s the only restaurant that can cater for large groups with Central Park so it gets plenty of business. Not very authentic Thai food and I find it over priced.

Food is very tasty but it an be very busy. For the price of the lunch menu you can’t go wrong — € 10! The only down side is the waiting staff can be a bit rude as they’re so busy but sure you forgive one you get the tasty green curry! It’s located in a business park so best to call ahead. You can get a take out but on busy periods it can be half an hour + wait! All in all it’s worth a visit!

I have been there many times it’s the only restaurant in Central Park area. For my opinion there is too many choices but for the price it’s a good place for a lunch meal.

Ok the time is there…4 stars it is! I have been in Baan Thai quite a lot the last months and I didn’t have any disappointment for the food! They still need to work on the customer service piece, but lunching there is quick and delish! My fave is still Prawn Red Curry, but it also love Beef and Chilli or just two starters instead of a main, nice for a change also :)

Working Lunch With a Kick! You know how it is. You haven’t been to a restaurant in years and you remember the countless times you went before enjoying every meal. You remember the smell, the ambiance, the look and the taste as if it were yesterday and you hope that when you get there it feels just the same. I had a working type farewell lunch today for a colleague moving on to greener pastures. Nevertheless, the mood was good and the sun was shining! I have been to Baan Thai many times and have always loved it. If you have never been before, you would be forgiven for doing a double take when guided to your destination by GPS. The Baan Thai building itself is nestled in between hi-rise type office blocks and apartments and looks incredibly unassuming from the outside, but don’t be put off future Unilocalers! The inside is wonderfully decorated in a sea of carved dark wooden structures with scattered ornaments and statues. An amazing contrast compared to the outside. As we were there for lunch, the otherwise lengthy but tasty menu was scaled down both in choice and price to cater for the hour long lunch client. I had a chicken satay starter which was a lot spicier than I can remember from years ago but tasty just the same. A glass of red wine would have delighted my palette before the main, but alas, it was a working lunch! For the main, I chose prawn red curry and fried rice. Again, this was quite spicy. It also had pineapple in it and anyone who knows me understands that fruit in curries et al is a big no no! But hey, that what forks are for right? Pushing the pineapple aside, I grabbed the sizeable portion of prawn as politely as I could(i was with company after all) and scoffed it all alongside the tasty fried rice. For me, the meal was reminiscent of days of old when I ate out all the time and that’s what I loved about it. Next time I go I’ll have to order my old favourite ‘tamarind duck’ and the glass of red. Highly recommended, especially in groups.

Not one single vegetarian option or friendlyness towards veg requests. It probably survives as one of the few places in the area thay serves warm food(and the alternatives are office canteens, that are not really great at all).

I get carry out from here regularly and have not been disappointed. I usually opt for their Red Curry with chicken. Early bird take home menu is a really good deal.

Went for the early bird on a Saturday evening and everything was fantastic. Gluten free options, fresh veg and a lovely glass of wine — will be back again!

Medium well experience. The tom kha gai was not too bad but full of annoying Lemongrass pieces. This made the eating a bit difficult. The red duck curry was ok but too much fruits made the curry to sweet(grapes and pineapple). The fried rice and the fried noodles were tasteless. It’s a nice restaurant but I already had better Thai food experiences.

Along with reviews in general its been a while since I updated my Baan Thai! Got myself a take away tonight. My usual pad thai — with lots of coriander. It was pretty delicious and the service was very good too. I also went for a meal here last month. My usual was Ok, but my dessert??? what was going on here??? They changed them! Very disappointing. Instead of the batter they were wrapped in pastry. Not good. I shall be passing on this if they continue to be presented like this. You should have seen the disappointment on my face when they were placed in front of me. Fritter-gate nearly happened!!!

The place is very well laid out and has awesome décor. However, the car park situation is HORRIBLE. I was surprised to over hear the host interrogating parents about the behavior of their young child. It seemed as if they would not be let in. The menu was one side of A4, laminated with few choices. However the options they had were standard thai fare and well prepared. I ordered the Pad Thai with Spring Rolls(20EUR). I asked to add tofu and hold the meat. It was very good. If the parking situation was better marked, this would be a perfect after work place for a nice dinner.

Our family won’t return. We made one of our regular visits to Baan Thai in Leopardstown on Sunday last there was four adults and 7 year old in our party we arrived at 5.30pm. The early bird was on offer which has a good selection and a full a-la-carte menu. Were ordered the combination starter for 4(thiniing this was the same as ordering 4 separate starters off the early bird and 4 main courses off the early bird menu. In addition we ordered a chicken rice soup for our seven year old. We also ordered a half bottle of red, two beers and two soft drinks and had our starters no complaints all presented well and all got the thumbs up. The flavours were all fresh very nice — it never changes in my opinion — which is good. We finished with three deserts and one coffee. When I went to pay the bill, which was over 150 euros(remember this is early bird in Ireland, during a recession, on a sunday afternoon) I queried the why it was so much. The early bird menu was supposed to offer two courses for 18 euros. Suddenly everybody spoke Thai? and I was left trying to explain my point(all very embarrassing). At this stage we quickly said it didn’t matter paid the money and told them my dissatisfaction at the treatment — despite being a regular customer. I got blank stares. It was a very abrupt end to what had been a nice experience. We paid over 150 Euros for the meal we felt humiliated. If that is what they call customer service they are very lacking. We paid and left as quickly as we could. We would never recommend this restaurant for value and we will never be back. Sorry Baan — it’s just not good enough these days.

My family have been going to Bann Thai for years. I have noticed that staff numbers have declined, obviously due to the financial climate at present. The food is always delicious, plentiful and the staff are very friendly. My daughter moved to London two years ago and when she comes home for a visit I always have to book a table at Bann Thai. She has tried numerous Thai restaurants in London but none are a patch on Bann Thai. I would highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys fantastic Thai food. They have a private underground car park for diners and from here there is a lift up to the door of the restaurant.

I know they have a huge menu, with many and varied dishes, I know that each one is as tasty and distinct as the one before it, that each dish is in itself a reward for something really good you did in a past life and it should be enjoyed thusly… So, why is it that every time I go in I can only order the red chicken curry with extra chilli and fried rice? I CANTHELPIT!!!, it’s too good, the thought of going in and not ordering the aforementioned is almost too much to bear… Though the Pad Thai did look pretty good today, maybe next time…

Excellent Thai/Asian fusion place in the Leopardstown office park, just behind the Vodafone building. Have to say I have only ever been for the lunch menu as a change from the office canteen/sandwich option, usually for a special occasion but I have never been disappointed. Great value food, friendly staff and a really fast service which is handy when you have limited time. Nice décor, it really is a hidden gem. Only criticism I have is that the menu doesn’t seem to change a lot but it’s still has all the favourites, so not a big issue.

Baan Thai is located in Leopardstown Industrial Estate. The restaurant is decorated with traditional Thai interiors and all of the staff are dressed in beautiful Thai outfits — so pretty! If you want something a little bit special, there is a special seating area where the seats are built into the floor and the tables are low to the ground, so it really feels like you are eating in a traditional Thai fashion. The extensive menu can be a little overwhelming but you are guaranteed to find something to suit all palettes. One of the best Thai restaurants in Dublin.
