My wife and I were walking to King John’s Castle and while doing so we saw The Cauldron, a tiny little pub from the outside that looked like an authentic Irish pub. We knew we would be visiting this pub right after seeing the castle. When we walked in, we knew everyone there(pretty much all men) were locals of Limerick. We definitely stood out and for a second felt like maybe we weren’t wanted being that we weren’t locals. That idea of ours diminished very fast. The bartender was extremely nice and made sure we were taken care of. The locals there were awesome and very interesting! Anywhere from an old Irish man who didn’t say a word but just smiled and chuckled with all the younger lads cracking jokes at everyone. My wife and I were serenaded by an older Irish man who was definitely a pint of Guinness for the worst. He sang us John Wayne songs, it was a great experience! Until next time.
