This is such a sweet little place to spend a bit of time. It’s not very big so it’s not worth getting your walking boots out but it’s great for a little stroll and to admire and learn about all the different donkeys in the fields. You get quite attached to some of the friendlier ones. The gift shop is absolutely great, they have such sweet gifts– they’ve loads of things that are genuinely worth getting, and we always stock up every year for some stocking filler presents at Christmas! If you’ve been around the park already you’ll be raring to give a few bob to the charity, and it won’t be easy to resist some of the things in the shop! Great job to all of the people working here!

The Donkey Sanctuary is a bit out of the way, but if you get decent weather it’s a really nice spot for a wander. There’s a nice picnic area, gift shop and of course a lot of donkeys. I’d especially recommend it if you have to entertain young children for a few hours. It’s also dog-friendly, depending on the temperament of your mutt. Free entry, but I’m sure they’d make good use of any donations.
