Cafe Provence

Best brekkie in Malahide when you’ve had one too many the night before. Delicious home made brown bread with you’re fry. Mmmm

Just had my first taste of Café Provenance & a I was pleasantly surprised. Really good service and the food is very good. Very busy but it doesn’t seem to have slowed down the service. popular spot, I’ll be back for more.

One of my favorite places to eat lunch in Malahide. The prices are reasonable and food is consistently good. The fish and chips are great as is the seafood linguine. Service is ok. One thing that REALLY bugs me about this place though is the tight seating arrangement. I mean If you get a corner or table by the wall, trying to get out without bumping into another diner or their food is nearly impossible. I risk it for the good food but having so many people eat so close by me makes me uncomfortable. also, no coat hooks or anywhere to put your purse…

I came here and ordered a hot chocolate, a chicken bacon panini and a toffee cake and it was all delicious. Good service and an incredible selection of desserts.

I’ve been coming here for years and it has never once disappointed. Consistently good food and service at very reasonable prices.
Ive also bought a few paintings here and its great to see them support local artists.
Dont expect a culinary revolution, but its got a lot of personality and value out the ying yang.

It’s a lovely restaurant. The deep fried brie starter is pretty awesome.
However, the Chicken Caesar salad is very strange. It’s just too sweet for me. The sauce remind me of thousand island dressing which I don’t enjoy all that much.
The best thing about the restaurant is breakfast. They do a really good fry!
They get kind of crowded for breakfast, but it’s wroth the wait.

Wer die Serie Gilmore Girls kennt, der wird auch Luke’s Diner kennen, einen Hort der Gemütlichkeit und familiären Atmosphäre. Genauso einladend sieht auch das Café Provence in Malahide aus.
Die Einrichtung wirkt wie mit viel Einsatz und Liebe selbst gemacht. Es gibt kleine und etwas größere einfache Holztische, an denen einfache Stühle stehen, auf denen viele gutgelaunte und bunt gemischte Gäste jeden Alters saßen, als ich dort war. Zu Essen gibt es kleinere und größere Leckereien — wir hatten Suppe, Burger, Sandwiches, Nudeln und phantastische Kuchen und cremige Desserts. Den Essenstil würde ich als kreative Hausmannskost bezeichnen — die meisten Gerichte waren Basics aber hatten noch einen überraschenden Geschmacksfaktor, waren z.B. mit Zitronengras oder einem besonderen Dressing verfeinert.
Da alles recht einfach gehalten ist, eignet sich das Café Provence vor allem für ein entspanntes Mittagessen mit Freunden oder den Plausch am Abend. Eher nicht geeignet ist es für ein romantisches Diner, denn alle Tische stehen irgendwie quer im Raum, so dass immer mal wieder jemand sich vorbeidrängelt und durchgehend fröhlicher Trubel herrscht.
