Lovely little café to stop at for some lunch whilst cycling along the Greenway which runs through Mulranny. Run by locals Ann & Gerry Rogers who took over the café in 2014. Everything is home made with great care and they will go out of their way to cater for everyone with allergy friendly lunch and dessert options! A natural stopping point along the Greenway Best coffee I’ve had in Ireland!

We happened on this place after spending the morning and afternoon in Connemara, visiting the national park and Kylemore Abbey. My friend and I skipped lunch that day, so we came here for a very early dinner(or late lunch?). I had an excellent and creamy carrot and parsnip soup, which was served with delicious brown bread. For my meal, I had an open-faced smoked salmon sandwich on the same delicious brown bread with potato salad. My friend got the Cottage Pie, which was similar to a Shepherd’s Pie, and she said it was very good. Upon leaving, we got two fat brownies with frosting to go – they were so good! The owner – I’m assuming – was so friendly! True Irish hospitality and friendliness. He gave us some ideas of other places to see in the area and gave us a great recommendation for Kai Café in Galway City(we ended up going there and had a fantastic meal).

We Had a Lovely Bowl of soup and brown bread, after cycling the newport to mulranny route on the greenway. Delicious Banana Bread, did not need the chocolate syrup.
