VDC is a lovely, authentic French restaurant. The whole décor has been revamped and the place looks cool and minimalist, bright and open. There is a nice space between tables and it is a perfect location for a romantic meal. I chose a fabulous starter of apple and French/Irish black pudding tarte tatin — what an unusual idea, but wow, it tasted extraordinary! I then had a fish main, which was nicely done but didn’t pack nearly as much flavour or appeal as the starter. As it’s quite expensive, we decided against going with desserts, as we had chosen and thoroughly enjoyed a French(of course!) red wine which was the special of the month and it was fabulous.

On checking my bill from last week’s dinner which was a bit of a disaster as they forgot the birthday desert for my mother’s 70th i was charged for extra proseco i didnt order or drink. I usd to love this place and in my opinion is the best in Naas regardless of what some of the hotels would tell you. The service used to outstanding and unmatched in Naas and in the top 10% in Ireland. The food was fresh and tasty prepared, presented and served with professionalism and perfection. There can be a six week waiting list at weekends so book ahead especially during holiday seasons and Punchestown for example. On this recent visit they were not busy. There were only four tables of guests. Disappointing to say the least. Overcharging didnt help

I believe that this is one of the nicest and friendliest restaurants i have eaten at in a very long time. It has the full atmosphere of a truly Parisian bistro which is some compliment. The food is to die for with all the meals prepared by a full qualified patisserie chef and its amazing. I couldn’t review this place any more and the fact that its always booked out and it in a recession is testimony to its excellent food. Service is all you would expect from a very good restaurant. Book early to avoid being refused as they maintain all the french mannerisms and you might be turfed out for arriving without booking. I love it…
