Went for dinner after long day driving from Galway. Service very friendly, environment fun, but food was ordinary at best. Pasta in cream sauce was more like a soup with terribly overcooked pasta. Burger was okay. However, adjacent pub was raucous fun.

Thirteen years ago, we visited Ireland for the 1st time and loved the Round O so much. Back then. It was a country pub popular with locals(still is). Now, the Round O is all grown up with a complete redecoration, a fancy(and relatively pricey) menu and an off license. Food was a-ok. I guess you can’t go home again…

The absolute best pub on god’s green earth. They have a carvery(buffet) lunch that is amazing, everything is fresh, delicious, and expertly prepared. Way above and beyond the usual pub fare. The dinner menu is as just incredible & we enjoyed everything we had there. The pub has two bars, one in the main dining room & one in the back with pool tables & darts for the younger crowd. What can I say about the drinks? hey, it’s Ireland they do it right. They have concerts & parties out in the parking lot and it can get pretty wild in a good way. The craic(fun) is 90 as they say in Ireland. Navan is about a half hour or so north of Dublin & if you ever get over there don’t miss The Round O.
