Mitching from work for last minute Christmas chores, popped in here for a latte. Was tempted by the breakfast bap. As you do. It’s Christmas and I’m worth it. Did exactly the business. It was hot, freshly cooked and just enough to stave off the miserable weather outside. Still struggling to understand what the solitary slice of cucumber and equally lonely slice of tomato were supposed to mean languishing shamefully, or perhaps accusingly, on the side of the unhealthy bacon, white pudding egg and sausage on what tasted like a genuine Waterford blaa. Hit the spot though. I’ll be back if my arteries allow.

The staff here are very pleasant and the food is quiet nice but a fraction too expensive for what you get in terms of quality.

Café Continental made me smile. For two reasons. 1. They gave me a biscuit with my Americano, which meant a lot to me. 2. There were tables outside and, seen as it was a sunny October day, I soaked up some rays while perusing the Sunday papers. I know Café Continental isn’t responsible for the weather but they may have provided me with my last opportunity of the year to sip a coffee al fresco. Oh, and the service was good too.

This place used to be very good back a few years ago. Service and quality not what i would expect for the price and image they are going for. Got a quiche and base was not cooked through, another time bacon in my BLT was cold. Good location, need to capatalise on footfall from WWSC, but wont unless improvements are made
