Dublin Front Runners is a running group for the LGBT community. Established in January 2005, the club is affiliated with the international network of Frontrunner clubs throughout the world and is a member of the Athletics Association of Ireland. The group have twice weekly meetings in Phoenix Park. The main run is on Saturday morning at 10a.m. Meeting point for this run is at the Papal cross. From October to March the Wednesday night the meet is at 7.30p.m in front of the Garda Head Quarters. For the summer months the Wednesday night meeting point is at the cricket grounds car park at 7.30p.m. No matter what your running abilities are you will always find members in the group to run and train with. It also has a huge social side to it. Every Saturday run is followed by the group going for breakfast and on Wednesday, it is to the local pub for some grub and a bit of craic. It also has a great social events calendar which includes wine tasting events, nights out, arranged marathon runs throughout Ireland and the U. K(but if that makes you feel exhausted just reading you can go as a spectator), there infamous annually table quiz and a lot more. It is a fantastic way to keep fit and socialise with like minded people. All members of the running group are extremely friendly and very welcoming to all new members.
