OK so ten points for whoever can name the famous Irish Golfer who is a member here… All you would have to do is visit the website and Padraig Harrington is everywhere! They’re clearly very proud! I am lucky enough to be a frequent player and one time member of this course. As i am not the most skilled golfer i find it quite hard to play here. The course is very hilly and the greens(especially the new sand based greens) can be real fast. The course was originally a Garda Club until it was allowed for non garda people to join in the 70’s. I find it has a thriving amount of youthful members and since the popularity of Harrington it has been placed on the map as a course to play and something to boast about. Green fees are not too expensive if you are playing with a member however this is a Private course and everything from correct clothing to correct game play and rules apply here. If you do have the chance to play here you will be amazed by the wildlife that live on and around the course, often having to avoid the Deer on your fairway shots!
