Both times i’ve been here the band was great and staff very friendly. I never seem to get time to take any pictures as both times I’ve left a bit tipsy at around 2am! But seems like a good pub for locals and if i was a local and not from the other side of the city I’d come here more often.

This is the real deal. What Rob said was pretty dead on. If you want the real side of Dublin and a drink surrounded by older lads contemplating if they want to see the Missus just yet, hit up this spot and pull up a bench and watch some footie on a Sunday.

There comes a time in every Irishman’s life when he looks around a room and realises that he is outclassed in drinking ability by every single person in the room. This happened to me last week when I stepped into the Bird Flanagan. A definite haunt for Rialto locals(note: the most Dublin Dubliners you’ll ever come across) The Bird Flanagan has a definite charm to it. Your pints are dropped down to your table and you pay your server while sitting at your table. Every pint on every table seems to be Guinness, held by aul lads who just have to look at their pint and concentrate hard enough and they’ll absorb the black stuff by osmosis. The Bird Flanagan is the kind of Irish pub people come to Dublin for, but they go to Temple Bar and Instead find themselves paying seven quid for a bottle of budweiser while being handed flyers for Cowboy themed nightclubs.
