Lough Key is one of my favorite spots that I have been in Ireland. The walking routes are breath taking. There is something there for everybody, from camping, Zip Lining or canoeing in Lake. I recommend bringing a picnic, a bottle of wine and going for a long walk!

Lough key is awesome. Its one of the most beautiful parks I’ve been too with excellent camping facilities. You can walk through the forest, along the shore of the lake, hire a boat and go out to the ruined castle. There is a tonne of stuff to do to pass the time. Zip lines, a play park, the canopy walk and the Boda Borg. All this packs into an amazing experience. I’ve been here twice now and I love it, I could spend a week there. Camping facilities include good hot showers, a night room to chill in away from the midges and the on site café if you want a hot cuppa for breakfast! For anyone thinking about it I’d say don’t think about it just go! The place is fantastic.

Spent a lot of time here camping a few years back and we had a ball. A girl called Lilly worked there at the time she was a lovely friendly girl. I returned 2 years ago for the first time in about 10 years but i was in a caravan this time and i thought it had changed for the worse. I did not feel one bit safe everyone seemed to do what they liked at night time and in the day time i did not feel safe leaving the caravan to go anywhere. I think this is a great pity because they have refurbished around the lake and put in a new playground but they have seen to forgotten the camp site. I think if they got security day and night and they were seen walking around it would go back to it’s former glory and i don’t think it would take alot to get it up to standard. I drove in last year to see had the campsite changed in anyway and it was still the same. I think this park could be turned into a great family park and with the right staff it could be a little gem Hopefully who ever owns the park and sees this they might do something to change the park
