Dinty’s is somewhat of an institution at this stage. It’s pink(yes, that’s right… pink!) exterior encases one of the best-known pubs in West Cork. The food is divine… the seafood is spot on and the servings would put American portions to shame. The menu never(and I mean NEVER… in the 10 or so years that I’ve been going there) changes, meaning that it’s not necessarily one of those places you could go often, but my God when you do! If you’re there in any way regularly, for drinks or dinner, Dinty Collins himself will remember you and gruffly acknowledge your presence. Even cooler… if you’ve seen the epic movie that was ‘War of the Buttons’, then it’s outside Dinty’s that the boys were embarrassed in front of the whole village. Pretty cool hey?!
