Friends and I were told that Schull would be a great lunch spot on a beautiful day of driving between Kinsale and Dingle, and unfortunately, we had a terrible day of weather and didn’t get to enjoy any of the city at all. However, we did find the Black Sheep, and warmed up by the fire over a lunch of burgers, salads, and warm drinks. We were definitely the only non-locals, but it never felt weird. Our service was friendly, and our food was fresh and tasty. It was standard pub fare, and a bit more expensive than we had usually been spending for pub lunches, but was otherwise quite good. The bar is pretty standard and probably quite hopping when the town is busy. There’s not a ton to say – The Black Sheep offers you a normal selection of pub food that’s pretty good and a warm fire to dry out by, if you’re unlucky like we were, and had awful rain all day, when there were hopes of a beautiful seaside drive.
