Applegreen is always a welcome sight on a long road trip. Especially when it’s too early to be up and you can’t manage to think too hard. I love that they’re all laid out pretty much the same and have good coffee, hot food, clean toilets and fast hand driers. Who cares that dublins only an hour and a half away these days — it’s long enough for a wee stop off

Located on the motorway so there is no need to get off. Clean establishment, staff is friendly and service is fast.

Good set up. Ideally located on Motorway. Great place to stop enroute to have a coffee or a bite to eat. Provides Bathrooms (always spotlessly clean), Costa Coffee, Burger King, amongst other restaurants/​shops. Always head in for a Coffee when I’m passing by on M1. Only downfall is the area where you pay for petrol tends to be a bit cluttered and overcrowded shelves-​not a good idea if you’ve children with you
