Beaufield Mews

We really enjoyed this restaurant. This place has real cuisine. Food was excellent and the loft dining room had a nice ambiance. The steak was excellent with medium rare coming at the proper temperature despite the Irish trend of over cooking meat. The onion soup was amazing. We also had scallops, rabbit, and some great salads. The desserts are very memorable. If you’re on the south side of Dublin this place is worth the trip.

I came here for afternoon tea and I was wonderfully surprised!
You’re taken to the upstairs of the coach house where amongst quirky tea cups, vintage jewelry and dubious taxidermy you’re served one of the most innovative afternoon teas you can get your hands on in Dublin!
Very friendly waiting staff and lovely surroundings but the combination of the above and the creative savories and treats make this place a real gem which is a serious value for money spot!
Look forward to the salmon cones and the boiled egg. My favourite dessert had to be the homemade Jaffa cakes.
Definitely give it a go!!!

Worst place I have ever been to my beef was raw and the staff were annoying. The seating plan was way to squishy and you are touching elbows with the people next to you. I wouldn’t recommend this to a family

Went here yesterday for a family lunch, there was 25 of us I believe.
It was a nice meal, I had a terrine to start, which was nice, but could have used a bit more seasoning or some sort of «kick» in it. The beef for my main was great, with a lovely bit of gravy. The potatoes and veg were really nicely prepared, and the addition of some fresh herbs in the potatoes and the pine nuts in the veg really worked and made everything just that little bit tastier. The only thing that let me down was the dessert. I had the lemon tart and while nicely executed (nicely done crust, good tart texture) it was overly sweet. There was a wee bit of ice cream which I suspect was homemade, it was super creamy and tasty, but again, just overly sweet. The overall effect was a bit «cloying».
Great space, relaxed, service for our large group was excellent. Afterwards we all sat outside in the lovely garden and had a visit.
All in all a good place to go for a group.

Beaufield mews is a high quality place, the food is high quality and pretty Irish.
For € 25 I got:
A tasty pâté for starters
A huge slice of beef. Huge. Like, we’re talking 400grams of meat!
nice Icecream (they also do tarts etc. but I was a bit full from the main)
Tea
They only do 1 sitting per day, which means there’s no hurry to get you to move out of your seats, it also gives you a lot of time to enjoy the company and their lovely garden out back.
They have a nice selection of craft beers too, always a plus.
It’s the perfect place for a birthday meal or a wedding reception really.

I was here for a family birthday today and it was very appropriate. I would definitely recommend it for a weekend family lunch. Really nice 3 course menu and tea/​coffee for € 25 + 10% service charge. Very reasonable altogether!
I had poached pear and Tete de Moine cheese for starter, barbary duck with carrot and cinnamon paste for main, and crème brûlée for dessert and everything was absolutely delicious!
The staff were very polite and attentive.
My only complaint was that it was very warm, but there is a lovely garden out the back, so I took advantage of it to take a quick wander to cool down.

We had our wedding here in 2005. The place has a charming and comfortable atmosphere, tasty Irish produce and beautiful garden in Summer bloom. Low ceilings and sofas keep downstairs intimate and not far from home. It doesn’t try to be particularly young or hip, but is always perfect for family occasions or a relaxed Sunday lunch. Great venue for weddings up to near 100 guests.
