Cafe Sol Rio

Summer in Westport is a frantically busy time for all businesses, they have to make cash while the sun shines and the tourists are plenty.
You take this sort of thing into account when you are around the town and epically when it comes time for lunch — you know the shop will be busy, you know you will most likely be waiting a while.
So that was last summer, we did indeed wait a while, but the food was worth it and not massively expensive.
Today (mid April), the café was empty, the tumbleweed had to be moved before we took our seats. Still the service was unbearably slow. again, not bad food (we had the special — a ham and cheese omelette), but sweet sweet baby beebus, slllooooowwww.
Coffee is also very good by the way, and mother in law raves about the custard tarts.
