Came in for a quick mocha and was offered excellent directions to the nearest pharmacy. Sadly, wasn’t given my change because we were taking so much, although I did get a receipt. Staff wasn’t terribly pleasant until I asked questions, and then we became fast friends. A mocha here is more sweetened than in Belgian or French Starbucks, but about the same as in the UK. Standard, pricey drink, with a really unusual seating area. Wish they were open later/earlier! No food available that I could find that was grain free — it was all bread-based. Boo.

Nipped in for a quick pee fully intending to stay for a coffee afterwards. The bathrooms are nasty… pure nasty, smelled like the reptile house in Dublin Zoo. Couldn’t get out of the place fast enough!

i walked in and Sal gave me a loud enthusiastic greeting ‘good morning!’. I replied, ‘are you shouting at me!?’ which i meant in the same jovial tone that he had used on me but he was unsure and looked at me sceptically. But once i had ensured him that all was fine and that it was nice to be greeted by happy staff members rather than by the dour faces you get so used to in other establishments the next step of the purchase took place. Unable to obtain a caramel latte or skinny caramel cinnamon latte(maybe they ran out of caramel) i simply opted for an americano with 3 shots, yes i asked for 3 shots as otherwise i think the coffee is too weak as i’ve experienced at other visits. I did not have anything to eat as i had my sweet tooth pulled a long time ago but the muffins and little chocolate cakes looked very delicious albeit a bit on the expensive side. Also the coffee in Starbucks is way too expensive for what they serve and this usually means i don’t go back for more but the staff here are happy and i would go back to be greeted like a welcomed customer again.
