One of my favourite local pubs to have food in. Not just your average«pub grub» All of the dishes are gluten free. In fact the only food containing gluten here is any bread you may get served with a dish(like with the chicken liver parfait starter — yum!) Roast turkey dinner is always great when it’s on and the fish and chips are seriously Good — and suitable for coeliacs! Other favourites are the pork belly, the chicken or veg curry and the lasagne. Always very friendly service(im here so much, again with the nana, that they know us well) and that’s what keeps us going back, along with the great food! This place is also worth visiting for a good fry up on a Saturday or Sunday morning!

Firstly I think the location on the map is slightly off as this pub is located the other end of the Whitehall road just off the roundabout. This pub is like any other pub décor wise but what sets it apart is the food. There’s something very special about the dishes that are served here. I feel like I’m eating at a fine dining restaurant without the surroundings! Happy days cos you can go in your jeans and runners and not feel out of place! The chef has a magic touch and the presentation of each dish is second to none. The staff are friendly and very attentive, once we ordered a steak and requested it medium rare and it came out medium to well. We mentioned it to the lady serving our table who noticed that my Dad didn’t finish his steak. When we got the bill they had taken the steak off it which is excellent customer service! The chef also caters to Coeliacs and other dietary requirements which is an added bonus! I’ve added a few photos I took on recent visits! My favourite dish is the chicken and duck liver parfait. It’s fab! I’ve also tried and enjoyed their Caesar salad and a couple of items from their specials menu; crispy pork belly which was good and then another time bacon and cabbage which was delicious. My cousin got the seabass before and ranted and raved about it too!

Great pub grub and a fantastic new smoking section with TVs(even though I don’t smoke!)
