Ennis, Republic of Ireland
Very solid Fish and Chips in Ennis. I presume it’s the same guys behind the original Liscannor Bay Fish&Chips in Liscannor. Cod is lovely, flaky and chips are nice and crunchy. Friends say it’s their favourite chips in Ennis but I prefer the more chunkier ones you get in Enzos. Still good though. Portion sizes are huge, maybe a bit too big for one person but you can just share some. Tartar sauce is homemade and quality as well.
It’s in a strange location, the back of a supermarket on the Tulla road. Everything is cooked fresh so there’s about a 10 minute wait. I usually ring ahead and order when I’m getting a takeaway.
