We drove to Waterford for the day from Ferns, and passed by one of their A-frame signs on the main road. The prices looked reasonable, so we went around the corner for lunch and some coffee. We were pleasantly surprised to find a welcoming café with colorful decorations and finely designed hand-written menus. The dining area is small, yet the tables are positioned well and not cramped. The menu ranges from toasted sandwiches, omelettes, and cakes to full meals including traditional Polish dumplings. The cajun chicken panini was delicious and came with a side of coleslaw, crisps and a well-dressed salad, all for 5.50EUR. This restaurant proves you can get high quality food in Ireland at a good price. We will definitely be back, and recommend the Bistro to anyone looking for a nice meal in Waterford.
