Café Lucia is a bright and welcoming café in the heart of Waterford. We came here for breakfast and were warmly welcomed by staff. I had pancakes with maple syrup and bacon, which was really good– the pancakes are crêpe style. My partner had beans on toast, which sounds a bit boring, but the ‘toast’ was proper homemade soda bread, which was very very good. Fairly decent tea selection, plus fresh squeezed juices. They weren’t really able to go ‘off menu’ at all, so couldn’t for e.g. do a poached or boiled egg on the side. Still, lovely little place with cool décor and pretty reasonable prices.

Really nice little place in the centre of Waterford. Good wholesome food with a pretty standard menu. Lots of nice sandwich options. Get the wedges with whatever you order– they are really good. Got the best seat in the house beside the window. Service very attentive and decent value too. I’ll be back.
