I had to save my 400th review for something special and L’Atmosphere fits perfectly. My family and I had a wonderful dinner here in August, 2013 while staying a couple blocks away. We walked all over town looking for a place to have dinner and nothing really appealed to us. A customer of Bubble Rock Tea told us about this wonderful French restaurant around the corner that had a great pre-fixe menu for 20 euros that included a glass of wine. Food: 5⁄5 Stars The French onion soup I ordered as my starter was delicious! The house red wine was great. I can’t remember what I ordered, but I ended up ordering another. I ordered the fish stew as my main course and that was amazing. They bring it to you in the cast iron pot so it stays nice a hot. The French bread was great too. My hubby and son ordered the beef bourguignon and they loved it. My hubby ordered the chocolate soufflé for dessert and I ordered the carrot cake. Everything was amazing from start to finish. Service: 5⁄5 Stars The service was perfect. Our servers were friendly and very efficient. Ambiance: 5⁄5 Stars It was perfect. I loved the décor, lighting and overall relaxing feeling. If we ever return to Waterford I would definitely visit L’ Atmosphere again.

Just what the doctor ordered! Good food, modest portions, tasty wine and I was having French withdrawal before L’Atmosphere. It wasn’t great. But on the coast of Ireland, it was a welcome meal with warm and professional service. Thank you all.

Off a street, off a street, the charm of L’Atmosphere begins before you even reach the front door! If you go in daylight hours you have a chance to spot some of the hidden gems of Waterford(a city that seems to work hard at concealing its many strengths). Go at night, and be drawn into the soft lighting and snug setting of this, one of Waterford’s best restaurants. The restaurant is small and intimate, and the service is excellent and authentically French. I’ve been to L’Atmosphere four times in the past six months, and the service is always top-notch; friendly and helpful. Then there’s the food; an excellent menu with something to please everyone. Many dishes are brought to the table pot-and-all, something I still haven’t tired of! The food is cooked to perfection and very flavoursome; I don’t think it’s possible to have a bad meal in this restaurant. Desserts are also excellent; though the generous portions of the main course may mean you have neglected to leave some room for some of the best confections in town. Overall, L’Atmosphere is a restaurant that impresses at every turn, and is definitely worth a trip to Ireland’s ‘forgotten’ city. I absolutely love it.

very nice atmostphere, does have an authentic parisian feel about, food nice, desert not great, had fruit salad, only a cut up apple in juice, but over all not bad, avoid sitting at the back of the restaurant on way to the toilets as there is too much traffic and little atmostphere, i will go back

Possibly my favourite restuarant in Waterford at the moment. Having said that, I’ve only been there once lol. Went there for my birthday and the food was delicious. Service was good, food amazing, nice ambience. Looking forward to making it a regular. Not cheap, but worth the price.
